Jose Mario Ortega, MD

Jose Mario Ortega, MD has been a pediatrician at International Pediatrics since 1999. Son of founder Mario Ortega, MD he graduated from Francisco Marroquin University in Guatemala and completed his residency at the Holtz Children's Hospital at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center where he was Chief Resident.

Jose Mario Ortega, MD currently serves on the Medical Advisory Committee of one of the largest insurance companies in the area. He is also a Director of a local children's soccer club. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and attending Capitals and soccer games.


Fabiola Costello, FNP

Fabiola is originally from Peru. She has lived in the Washington metropolitan area for more than 10 years. Fabiola earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Georgetown University and a masters in family medicine at Marymount University. Fabiola enjoys speaking Spanish with her patients and their parents. She is very proud of her Spanish heritage. Having grown up in a Latin American country, Fabiola has a deep understanding of Hispanic culture and the specific needs of Hispanic patients.

Her clinical interests encompass all aspects of pediatric care from newborn to adolescence. Her particular interests include preventive medicine and adolescent mental health issues. In her free time, Fabiola enjoys spending time with her spouse and three young children. She also loves playing tennis and painting super heroes. Fabiola’s multicultural experience has increased her belief that to be the best health care provider you need to have strong medical knowledge while being a sensitive and compassionate person.

Catherine "Katie" Aldinger, CPNP

Katie is originally from Southern California. She moved to Maryland in 2011 to attend Johns Hopkins University, where she earned her Bachelors in Nursing and a Masters in Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Primary Care. She was a Peace Corps volunteer from 2008-2010 in Ecuador where she worked with local families and children on environmental health issues and literacy programs. Katie is passionate about working with international communities in the US and abroad. She currently resides in Silver Spring, MD with her partner and daughter. Her clinical interests are newborn and breastfeeding care, asthma, and pediatric obesity and nutrition. Katie likes spinning classes, running, cooking and traveling to beach destinations with her family.


Bianca Larios, FNP

Bianca Larios is a northern Virginia native with parents from El Salvador and Bolivia. Her passion for giving back to the Latino community has led her to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. Bianca enjoys speaking Spanish with her patients and their families. She believes that supporting and empowering patients is key to providing the best care possible for each patient. In her free time she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family.


Mary Anne Israel, CPNP

Mary Anne moved to the area a few years ago from San Francisco, California with her family. She graduated from UCSF in 2002 and has spent most of her professional life at San Francisco General Hospital in primary care with a focus on the newborn period and asthma. Her primary clinic interests are wellness and illness prevention and working with families around these issues to optimize their child's health and overall well-being.

Still feeling new to the east coast, she enjoys exploring the area with her family, especially the mountains and beaches.


Cristina Medina, FNP

Cristina was born and raised in the suburbs of DC to parents who emigrated from El Salvador. In her youth, she was lucky enough to travel the world with some of her favorite places being Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Belgium, France, and Italy. She graduated with her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from George Washington University. Before joining the practice worked in the MedStar Hospital system with a focus in cardiology. Her goals as a health care provider are to provide holistic care with an emphasis on prevention and education in order to improve health among the Hispanic population.

Cristina enjoys the beach, socializing with friends, exercising, playing with her 10 year old puppy Artie, and hopes to check off more travel locations from her list in the near future!
