Jose Mario Ortega, MD
Jose Mario Ortega, MD has been a pediatrician at International Pediatrics since 1999. Son of founder Mario Ortega, MD he graduated from Francisco Marroquin University in Guatemala and completed his residency at the Holtz Children's Hospital at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center where he was Chief Resident.
Jose Mario Ortega, MD currently serves on the Medical Advisory Committee of one of the largest insurance companies in the area. He is also a Director of a local children's soccer club. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and attending Capitals and soccer games.
Fabiola Costello, FNP
Fabiola is originally from Peru. She has lived in the Washington metropolitan area for more than 10 years. Fabiola earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Georgetown University and a masters in family medicine at Marymount University. Fabiola enjoys speaking Spanish with her patients and their parents. She is very proud of her Spanish heritage. Having grown up in a Latin American country, Fabiola has a deep understanding of Hispanic culture and the specific needs of Hispanic patients.
Her clinical interests encompass all aspects of pediatric care from newborn to adolescence. Her particular interests include preventive medicine and adolescent mental health issues. In her free time, Fabiola enjoys spending time with her spouse and three young children. She also loves playing tennis and painting super heroes. Fabiola’s multicultural experience has increased her belief that to be the best health care provider you need to have strong medical knowledge while being a sensitive and compassionate person.
Adriane Hanelt, CPNP
Adriane Hanelt is originally from Brazil and is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She received her BSN from University of Maryland and her MSN from the Catholic University of America in D.C. Taking care of children has always been her passion and a part of her professional and personal life. She lives in Columbia, MD with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys skiing, scuba diving, traveling, and spending time with family.
Sandra Miller, FNP
Sandra is an ANCC Board Certified Family Nurse practitioner registered by the Maryland Board of Nursing. She was born in Mexico and prides herself in being an Army brat. She has lived in Mexico, Panama, Germany, the Czech Republic, Boston, MA, Arlington, VA and currently lives in Darnestown, MD. She loves food, music and being home with her husband David, daughter Isabela and twin boys Lucas and Jackson.
Before joining International Pediatrics, Sandra's passion was women's health while working as a labor & delivery nurse in Baltimore and Silver Spring for 10 years. She strongly believes in providing the best possible medical care by listening to the patient, earning their trust and educating them for better health. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Marymount University in Arlington, VA, and Master of Science in Nursing from Marymount University.
Catherine "Katie" Aldinger, CPNP
Katie is originally from Southern California. She moved to Maryland in 2011 to attend Johns Hopkins University, where she earned her Bachelors in Nursing and a Masters in Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Primary Care. She was a Peace Corps volunteer from 2008-2010 in Ecuador where she worked with local families and children on environmental health issues and literacy programs. Katie is passionate about working with international communities in the US and abroad. She currently resides in Silver Spring, MD with her partner and daughter. Her clinical interests are newborn and breastfeeding care, asthma, and pediatric obesity and nutrition. Katie likes spinning classes, running, cooking and traveling to beach destinations with her family.
Lina Moscarella, FNP
Lina Savage Moscarella, Family Nurse Practitioner of International Pediatrics was born in Rio de Janeiro to a Brasilian-American family. She moved between Argentina and Brasil until she was 5 years old and learned Spanish and Portuguese. She grew up in Baltimore, Maryland after her family moved back to the US, and studied at Johns Hopkins Nursing School (96). She was a school nurse in Arlington Public Schools and then worked in the People's Clinic. After Marrying, she lived in Mexico and Brasil with her family and returned to the US to complete her Family Nurse Practioner degree (2018) from Simmons College. She is married and has 2 children and a chihuahua she picked up in Mexico. She enjoys reading mystery novels and is a big fan of the Washington Nationals.
Bianca Larios, FNP
Bianca Larios is a northern Virginia native with parents from El Salvador and Bolivia. Her passion for giving back to the Latino community has led her to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. Bianca enjoys speaking Spanish with her patients and their families. She believes that supporting and empowering patients is key to providing the best care possible for each patient. In her free time she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
